About Us

Nectarina was born after the unsuccessful search for traditional baby clothes in the High Street when I was pregnant with my baby daughter.  I found the available clothes of poor quality and the designs were copies of clothes for grown ups.

Being originally from Spain, I missed the stylish and traditional looking baby girl dresses available in my country. I wanted good quality pretty dresses and baby shoes at sensible prices. I did not want to dress my baby in mass produced garments which made her look like a teenager. Was that too much to ask?

While talking to friends from my antenatal group I realized I wasn’t the only one to think that way. My friends loved the little dresses and cute shoes from Spain that my daughter wore. And they all complained about the same thing: it was not possible to find them in the UK.  I was encouraged by their enthusiasm and I decided to create Nectarina.

Our Principle

At Nectarina we believe children should dress like children without compromising on quality and style. We personally handpick each of the garments we offer in our website. We travel to Spain, where all our pieces are produced, and meet the people behind the scenes.

Our designs are fresh every year and follow the latest European trends in children wear.  Our providers are small family owned factories, using fine materials and a lot of care. Our shoes are handmade in the softest leather, so you can rest assured that your baby’s delicate feet are well looked after.

Our Products

We sell beautifully crafted baby girl and toddler dresses, cardigans, coats, socks and handmade leather shoes. All our dresses and cardigans this season have been designed and crafted by a small, traditional factory based in Seville, Southern Spain. They have been dedicated to children fashion for decades. What the Nectarina’s purchasing team loved about their dresses was their excellent quality, freshness and originality and a slightly retro feel which makes them stand out among the boring mass produced offerings int he High Street. Their dresses are pretty and girly, without being too frilly. The firm follows the latest European trends in childrenwear and carefully selects colours and materials.

The dresses are ethically manufactured by local workers from the area, a far cry from the current mass produced garments offered in the High Street. We are proud to offer dresses which are made in Spain and exclusively imported to the UK for Nectarina.  We are very happy with the selection we are offering you this season and we hope you agree our dresses are truly gorgeous. Our baby shoes come from Villena, a city located in the province of Alicante, Spain. The shoemakers are also a small family owned factory, founded over a decade ago. They make their shoes by hand, using the highest quality leather, to ensure maximum comfort for your baby’s delicate feet. We found the designs so cute and girly; we wanted to buy them all! We hope you like the selection we finally came up with. As you will notice, we are offering soft sole shoes for younger babies and hard sole shoes for toddlers.
